The expert Hawkeye Infrared Technician & Camera with GPS, Computer and all the support equipment, provide on the fire low level infrared services that expedite ground fire suppression to rapidly mop up a fire and reduce overall wildfire suppression costs. Each Hawkeye Technician comes with an extensive fire suppression background, specialized training with a ground and flight infrared school and final on fire certification and thus are able to maximize use of infrared as a fire suppression tool and give maximum value to the client. Once certified, our Hawkeye expert has the technical abilities to extend daily scanning productivity and maximize the infrared equipment capabilities with over 95% reliability.
Our Hawkeye technician can arrive at your fire fully self-sufficient to provide infrared scanning either with a helicopter on site or we can arrange a helicopter to arrive and work with the Hawkeye Technician. The Hawkeye Technician comes fully equipped with GPS to record hot spots, a laptop/printer to provide a map of the scanning tracks and the hot spot locations and safety equipment such as nomex clothing and specialized safety harness. While getting GPS location of the burning embers, the Technician will also mark the hot spot on the ground with 150 ft paper tape to help ground crews find the hot spot rapidly and put it out.
